Elizabeth Mixon Bruyere, age 73, passed away on Monday September 21, 2015 in Houston, Texas. Elizabeth was born June 3, 1942 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Eli Wilford and Margaret Mixon. She was raised in Houston and graduated from Austin High School.
Elizabeth’s work life included the immigration and work visa’s department for Brown and Root, which led Elizabeth to opening up her own company, International Consulting. She was a lifelong Christian, professing her belief in Jesus for the first time at age 6. Elizabeth loved Grace Presbyterian Church and was a loyal member of Circle One. She loved to travel and enjoyed her time living overseas, especially Edinburgh, Scotland. Elizabeth had many friends from all over the world.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, Eli and Margaret Mixon, her husband William H. Bruyere, and her daughter-in-law Brandy Smith. She is survived by her son Thomas W. Smith and her many friends and loved ones.
