Among her many accomplishments was a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She loved to watch the 'horns play football-especially when they trounced A&M. Hook 'em Horns!
She and her husband were founding members of The Meyerland Club, where they spent many happy times with friends and family. A lifelong love of learning found her at The Delphians keeping her mind sharp. Briefly, she was a realtor for Prudential, but her true calling was volunteer work for her church and community. She especially had a heart's call for the plight of the downtrodden; and any mistreated animal would find a friend in her. She lived life fully, traveling worldwide and always dressed to the nines.
She was preceded in death by her beloved Father, Sam Rose, Sr. and her Mother Flo Johnson, as well as her husband Richard (Dick) Folkman.
She is survived by her daughter, Jo Folkman-MacAleese and her husband, Carl Sauer; her son, Craig Folkman and his wife, Becky. She is also survived by her Grandchildren, Jason Folkman and his wife, Kim Eastman, Karen Folkman and Todd Folkman, as well as one great-grandson, Samuel Folkman; and brother, Sam Rose, Jr. and his wife, Vita.
She will be missed; Rest with the angels, our dear Elizabeth.
