Ellis Reginald Barrett Jr.

Ellis had a career as a Firefighter at Houston Fire Department for 24 years and retired as Captain. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1959. Ellis loved his Lord and Savior. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He loved camping, the outdoors, family barbeques, his friends and his country.

Ellis is preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Shoemaker Barrett and son Ellis Reginald Barrett, III. His parents, Ellis Reginald Barrett, Sr., and Mary Helen Barrett.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Etta Urey Barrett, sons & daughters-in-law, Raymond & Dominique Barrett, Scott & Harriet Coakley, Randy & Amy Barrett; daughter & son-in-law, Renea Tanner & Keith Barge; brothers & sisters-in-law, David & Trish Barrett, Johnny & Beckie Barrett; twelve grandchildren, Kayla, Ashley, Mikey, Ashley, Chandler, Jackson, Mason, Kennedy, Olivia, Bianca, Presley, Connor and five great-grandchildren, Carter, Landon, Alice, Aurora, Autumn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Ellis' favorite charities.
