Elson E. Held

Elson Edward Held passed away at the age of 69 on Friday, March 24, 2023 in Cypress, Texas. Elson was born on October 26, 1953 in Hagersville, Ontario, Canada. He was the son of Robert C. Held and Adele R. Held (Schulz). Elson, or Eddie as he was often referred to by friends and family, was a loving and devoted son, father, “Papa Eddie”, brother, and friend. His family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was his life.

Elson was preceded in death by his parents Robert C. Held and Adele R. Held and niece Jennifer Asker. Survived by daughter and son-in law, Brooke and James Stoerner; daughter Nicole Kubacak; grandchildren, Mason Stoerner, Jordan Mays, and Kylee Kubacak; siblings Pamela R. Flayler, Robert J. Held and wife Rowena, and Sharon M. Mullins and husband Mike; niece Taehlor Johnson, nephews James Flayler and Chris Mullins, along with numerous cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 5:00-8:00pm at Brookside Cypress Creek Funeral Home, located at 9149 Hwy 6 North, Houston, Texas 77095. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:00am at Brookside Funeral Home. A reception will immediately follow the memorial service with interment to follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.

In lieu of flowers, it was Eddie’s wish for donations to be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church.
