

Emanuel Paul Maywald was born in Houston, Texas on November 3rd to Paul Steven Maywald and Catherine Anne McNulty Maywald Scholz. He joined his heavenly Father on June 24th, aged 91 years. Emanuel lived a full and loving life. His life started on the dairy farm where he was an integral part of daily chores with his family at a young age. He graduated from Addicks High School and went on to join the Marines. Following his military service, he started work as a welder at Engineers and Fabricators in Houston where he worked for 40 years. He retired as the foreman of the welding department. Emanuel loved to travel with his family, he loved sports and he loved the Colorado mountains, woodworking, mining for topaz, hunting for deer and elk. But mostly he enjoyed telling stories and spending quality time with his family and friends.
Emanuel was predeceased by his mother, father, his step-father Edward Scholz, his wife Sally Jean Fraley, his sisters Carrie Kachelmeier (Eddie), Margaret Dulaney (Bobbie), Gladys Alexander (Raymond), his brothers Paul Maywald, Michael Scholz, and his grandson Caleb Gilley.
Emanuel is survived by his children, Sharon Sheppard (Paul), Susan Foreman (Aaron), Andrew Maywald (Tina), Catherine Boykin (Donovan). His grandchildren Shonna Anderson (Collyn), (Elizabeth Gilley), Zachary Maywald, Kellie Kubacak (Matthew), Ian Foreman, Kaitlyn Boykin, Ethan Foreman, Clayton Maywald. His sister-in-law (Mary Maywald DeMent), sisters Rosedale Butler (Billy), Barbara Baldwin, his brother Lawrence Scholz (Cornella), and many nieces and nephews.
