He is proceeded in death by his son Lee Vega and step son Richard Peña.
He is survived by wife Rosie Barron Vega and his children, son Emeterio Vega Jr. (wife Ida), daughter Mary Jeanette Sandoval (husband Eli), son Joe Ernest Vega (wife Debbie), step son Paul Peña (wife Beverly).
He is also survived by 9 sisters, 4 brothers, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Emeterio loved to cook, be with family, especially when barbequing, but most of all he loved his wife dearly. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Emeterio’s life will be held at 3 pm, Thursday, December 21, 2017 with a service at 7 pm, to be held at Crespo Funeral Home, 4136 Broadway Street, Houston, TX with Pastor Charles Foshee officiating.
