Emmanuel Berrum Sanchez, age 41 entered into rest on October 28, 2025 in Houston, Texas. He was born May 14, 1984 in Kerrville, Texas to Alejandrina Berrum and Jose Luis Sanchez. He was a resident of Humble, Texas.
Emmanuel Sanchez, lovingly known by many names — Meno, Gov, Manuel, Manny, Geeovi, Brother Cuz, Rubber Ducky/Dude, and Deathstarkillah — passed away leaving behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and love.
Emmanuel was a light in every room he entered. Fearless, outgoing, and never shy to strike up a conversation, he had a gift for connecting with people. He carried a vast pool of knowledge, from sports, music, and current events to what he fondly called “useless knowledge.” Those who knew him well would say there was never a dull moment when Emmanuel was around.
Family was the center of Emmanuel’s world. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Amanda, and a proud father to his two daughters, Marley and Milla. They were his greatest joy and his proudest accomplishment — his “three lil birds.” Everything he did in life was rooted in love for them.
Outside of his deep love for family, Emmanuel had a passion for video games and could often be found playing on one of his many consoles. He was also an avid soccer fan and player, never missing a Wednesday game — even if just to cheer on or lovingly tease his friends from the sidelines.
Emmanuel was known for his sense of humor and his remarkable ability to make people laugh. His jokes and stories brought joy to everyone around him. He had a rare gift for comforting others with his words — never judging, always understanding, and always helping people see the good in themselves.
Those fortunate enough to know Emmanuel will forever remember his laughter, compassion, and the warmth he brought into their lives. He truly was, as all who knew him would agree, one of the most amazing people you could ever meet.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Luis Sanchez.
Those left to cherish his memory are his survivors, wife of 18 years, Amanda Sanchez; Daughters, Marley Sanchez and Milla Sanchez; Mother Alejandrina Berrum Cazares and her husband, Eduardo Cazares; Sisters, Ruby Luis and husband Jesse Luis, Karla Abraham and husband JJ Abraham, Perla Cazares, Julie Cazares; and nieces and nephews, Layla Luis, Alina Luis, Jesse Luis and Claire Jaramillo.
All services will be held Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway. A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00pm. A Celebration of Life will follow 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, concluding with a committal service at 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
