Eric Arthur Stevens

Eric was born on October 29, 1974 in Princeton, Illinois to Faith and Richard Stevens.

In 1992, Eric enlisted with the U.S. Army and shortly after moved from Illinois to Ft. Hood, Texas.

Eric served in multiple tours overseas including Bosnia and two tours to Iraq as well as taking part in multiple flood assistance missions, hurricane recovery missions, and the recovery of the Space Shuttle Columbia. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and The Texas Army National Guard.

Eric retired from the military on April 15, 2014 with 21 ½ years of service.

Eric is survived by his wife: Naty Stevens, daughter: Cheyenne Stevens, grandson: Gideon,

grandparents: Dora Gibbs, August and Shirley Stevens, parents: Faith and Richard Stevens,

siblings: Kirk Stevens, Suzanne McCauley, Laura Jablonski, sister-in-law: Amy Stevens,

brothers-in-law: Martin McCauley, Josh Jablonski, niece: Madlyn Stevens,

nephews: Ty and Ryan Stevens, Asher and Gavin Jablonski.

He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.

Eric will be fondly remembered as a proud patriot, loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and cherished friend.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive Houston, TX 77038, 281.445.0050.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 10:00 am
