William E. Layman Sr. aka "Ernie" passed away age 66, on 8-12-2012 in Katy, Texas. He was the owner of Houston Slot Machines, and was an avid Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Rider. Also member of A.M.A., C.M.A. and a member of the Independents. He was involved with Wreaths Across America, MDA Ride for the Cure, Wounded Warrior Project, and to many more Charities to Mention. He is survived by his loving wife Doris Layman of 49 years, his Mother Mildred Ernestine Layman, three Brothers Paul, Jarrell, Darrell, his children Ernestine Rush, (Ted), Tracy Haden, Ernie Layman Jr. (Cindy), Chris Layman, (Tracy), 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many many friends.
Ernie’s family will have a visitation on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 5-8 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. A service celebrating Ernie’s life will be Friday, August 17, 2012 at 12:30 PM in the chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Concluding services Ernie will take his last riding in a motorcycle hearse to Memorial Oaks Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
