

Eron "Daisy" Lee Bockel was born in Pontotoc, Mississippi on July 10, 1931 and went to be with her Heavenly Father on June 15, 2024 in Pearland, Texas; she passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 92, with loved ones by her side.
Daisy was a beacon of warmth, love and kindness, known for her incredibly generous spirit and light-hearted wit. She brought joy and laughter to those around her with her silly, witty nature. Daisy had a rare beauty, both inside and out, that shone through her every action and word.
As a devout Christian, Daisy was a faithful member of Southview Baptist Church where she was lovingly guided by Pastor Kyle Gulledge. Her faith was an integral part of her life, providing her with strength and comfort.
Daisy's love for her family was unparalleled and she treasured every moment spent with them. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as watching hummingbirds and butterflies, listening to bluegrass and gospel music and tending to her beautiful flower garden.
As the last of twelve children, Daisy carried forward the spirit and strength of her family, which she has passed on to her loved ones to continue that legacy. She always put others before herself, embodying the true essence of selflessness and compassion.
Daisy will be forever loved and deeply missed; her memory will always be cherished by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, grace and joy that will continue to inspire and uplift her family, friends and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ollie Elliott and her siblings: Cleo, Leo, Lamoise, Howard "Hub", Henry "Alfred", Edsell, Osil, Virgil, Christine, Betty, and Delores "Lois". She was also preceded in death by her beloved first husband William Marvin Sasser, her son Jimmy Ray Priest, her great-great-grandson Samuel Aaron Chaplin, her stepson John Bockel and her step-grandson JD Bockel.
Daisy is survived by her devoted husband, Arthur Earl Bockel and leaves behind her cherished children: son Lonnie Marvin and his wife Evelyn and daughter Sharon Lee Shotwell as well as her stepchildren: Bob Bockel, Belinda Trusty, and Bill Bockel. She was a proud grandmother to Stephanie Lee Patton and Raymond Frank Bleickhardt III and his wife Elizabeth along with her step-grandchildren: Jason, Tyler, Jacob, Nysi, Cameron, Little Joey, Trey, Nikki and Darren. Great-grandchildren: Breana, Nathan, Nolan, Emma, and Raymond IV and her great-great-grandchildren Elliott, Ella, Oliver, Savannah and Adalynn. Daisy's family extends to numerous nieces, nephews and friends who were blessed by her presence.
Visitation for Daisy will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 at 1pm, service following at 2pm and a graveside service at 3pm weather permitting.
