Eugene Dayton King

Brother Eugene D. King was born on February 29th, 1944 in Shreveport, La. He was the son of the late Alfred and Ruthie Mae (Jones) King. He departed this life on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 at The Heritage at Eldridge in Houston Tx.

Brother Eugene King baptized at ban early age in a pond in Kickapoo, La. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing in the Choir. He was employed for over 30 years with the City of Houston.

During his life, Eugene enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, traveling and of course playing dominoes.

Brother Eugene D. King was preceded in death by: Parents: Alfred and Ruthie Mae King and his brother Alfred King. He is survived by: Daughter, Althea (Rodney) Weston. Son: Kevin King, Daughter: Sherri (Charles) Price, Son: Parrish King: Grandchildren: Shunterica King, ReShara Brooks, Quaneecia Brooks, Mark Weston, Kevin King (Brittney), Trevor King (Shelby), Chianti Price and Cambria Price; Great Grandchildren: Kai King, Trace King, Hendrix King and Ariel King: Siblings: Charles King, Betty Porter, Billy Ray King, Willie Roy King, Patricia King, Linda King, Janet (Ben) Hall, Larry (Brenda) King, Angela (Roc) Robinson, Tyrone King. A host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other loving relatives.

A visitation for Eugene will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bethany Baptist Church, 7304 Homestead Rd, Houston, TX 77028. The funeral service will immediately follow from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, 7304 Homestead Rd, Houston, TX 77028. The committal service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at Cemetery Beautiful, 8401 Wheatley St, Houston, TX 77088.
