Eugene "Gene" C. Meyer

Gene was born on May 27, 1958 in Houston, Texas, where he spent his childhood and formative years. After graduation, he became a skilled welder and later went on to open his own welding business.

More than anything, Gene loved to hunt, fish, and ride his motorcycle. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors, tinkering in the yard, and fixing the tools that were perpetually broken.

Gene is survived by his two children, daughter Ashleigh Meyer Scott and husband Gentry and son Morgan Meyer, and their mother, Debbie. He also leaves behind two sisters, Edna Meyer-Nelson and Mickey Meyer-Sturgis, and three grandchildren, Rhyder, Paysli, and Grady, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Dolores Meyer, and his brothers Delbert Meyer and Norman “Bo” Meyer.

His vivacious, outgoing personality and the memories that we have created will be cherished forever.

A visitation for Gene will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
