Eva Mae Placker-Cabanas

Eva Placker was a mother of four: Christina, Cathalena, Anselmo and Catharina Placker. Our

mother was loved not only by her children, but also by her grandchildren.

Our mom had one of those faces that you had no clue what she was thinking at times, but in the

end would tell you exactly how she felt or what she was thinking. Never beat around the bush!

Taught us tough love as she was both mother and father to her four children. A mother who

loved deeply, who needed to hear from her kids on a regular basis to feel at ease.

Our mother had her faults nowhere near perfect but to us her children she was our mother, and

we loved her no matter what, she was our everything, our mother, our father, our one true

supporter and our heart.

Our mother was loved, loved by so many even strangers who didn’t know her because she was

always willing to help. There were times we would be scared for her for helping complete

strangers, but that is the person she became. For that reason, our mother was our angel. We

feel lucky to have been her children.

Our mother was our everything, as this is one of the hardest moments in our lives. We have to

be strong for her so that she knows that we are the adults that she has raised us to be.

As we embark on this new journey without our mom Eva Placker, we know she is part of who we

are. We want to express our gratitude for everything she has done for us.

We will hurdle many obstacles, life changes, Graduations, Birthdays, Mother's Day, holidays

without the one true person who has always been in our lives will be a challenge alone. We will

celebrate our mother who was our everything and remember the times we had with her.

We weren't ready for the day that we had to say “goodbye”, but this isn't a goodbye this is “see

you soon”. Although you had to leave us, you will always be in our heart.

We will continue living through our mom's love
