Born on March 23, 1946, in Katerini, Greece, Evdokia carried her Greek heritage and Orthodox faith with her throughout her life. She was a faithful, loving, and strong woman whose quiet strength and gentle spirit shaped everyone around her. Always considerate of others, she gave of herself freely and put her family before all else.
Evdokia was the beloved wife of Leonidas Vezos. She was a devoted mother to Penny Pereboom and Anastasia Soukis, and a proud and loving yiayia to Kelly and Zach Velliquette, Rachel Pereboom, Christina Soukis, Michael Pereboom, and Alexander Soukis. Her joy multiplied with the blessing of her great-grandson, Callum Velliquette.
She is also survived by her dear brothers, Peter and Pavlos; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Zacharias and Bonnie, Jerry, Litsa, Rodoula, and Debbie; her nephews, Peter and Andy; her cherished nieces, Stephanie DiMaggio and Thalia Piaquadio; her beloved aunt, Lina Kapetanakis; her dear cousins, Lee, Sue, Chris, and Paola; her beloved goddaughters, Liz and Christina; and her very close family friends, Nick, Lucy, Billy, and Carlo, who were like family to her, as well as all of the extended family who knew and loved her.
Evdokia found happiness in cooking for her family, gathering loved ones around her table, visiting the beach, and watching beautiful sunsets. But above all, she treasured her family and friends. Her love was steady, generous, and unwavering.
