

Evelyn Oneida “EO” Bell, 89, passed away quietly in her sleep on October 25, 2014 in Houston, TX. She was born December 20, 1924 in LaGrange, GA. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Hurtice “HA” Bell, her mother Willie May Cameron, and her best friend Florence Cramer.
She is survived by loved ones Neal P. Cramer, Jr. and wife Kelly, Nancy Cramer, Elizabeth (Cramer) Cottongame and husband Brice, N. Parker Cramer III, Abby Cramer, Carly Cramer, Kate Cottongame, Will Cottongame, Goddaughter Rebecca Oneida Jackson, and cousin Mary Woodyard.
Evelyn grew up in Louisville, KY but spent most of her adult life in Shreveport, LA. She was introduced to the Cramer’s in 1957 and immediately became part of their family. The Cramer’s moved to Houston in 1969 and at that time she went to work for LSU Shreveport, however spent most holidays in Houston with the Cramer’s. She retired from LSU in 1989, and moved to Houston in 1991 to join the Cramer’s once again.
She very much enjoyed raising the next Cramer generation for the past 23 years. All of the kids were her life. She loved them and they adored her. She also loved being a part of the Perfect Peace Sunday School class at Second Baptist Church, and all of her friends at Second.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 29th at 9:30am in the chapel at Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway, Houston, TX 77057. Burial will follow at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28th at Memorial Oaks from 6p-8p. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Perfect Peace Sunday School Class at Second Baptist Church, or to the charity of your choice.
