Evelyn was the Treasurer of Prime Timers at MDPC during the 6 years that I was President, so we worked closely together. I was also fortunate to accompany her on 5 Collette trips that she coordinated for the Seniors at MDPC. She was organized, but flexible when necessary, and we had lots of fun! I will really miss her! I am attaching a picture of the two of us taken at dinner in Canada in 2016.

Evelyn was a faithful member and Treasurer of our Prime Timers group at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church. She was always available to help and paid thoughtful attention to whatever she did. She was a real asset to the group and we will certainly miss her. I will especially miss having good conversations with her.

Evelyn was always delight-filled. It had been years since we had last spoken and then she called. It was like yesterday. How I wish we had been able to meet again. Kelly, I consider your mom one of the gifts I received from Butch. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Crady. My love to you with wonderful memories of Frostwood times!

I remember Evelyn from her leadership of the Prime Timers at Memorial Presb. Church. I volunteered at the front desk on Thursday and often Evelyn came and we had a chat. She was always friendly and I remember her fondly. She will be missed.

Dear Evelyn... I will miss our regular phone visits, sharing in the Word, working together at Kids’ Meals, movies in the summer, annual Christmas luncheon, and exchange of so many thoughts, information and ideas. Our friendship was a constant over many years. My condolences to Kelly and Crady. May you shine in your new location.

I was sad to read about Mrs Cook dying. I have great memories of her from my childhood. She was funny and practical and so tolerant. She put up with us practicing our piano duet about five thousand times!
My thoughts and prayers are with Kelly.

I'm so grateful to have met Evelyn 18 years ago. Her smile and enthusiasm for life were contagious. In 2007, she gave me the most precious gift--2 pairs of beautiful white booties that she knitted for my twin sons honoring their birth. Those booties are special keepsakes and will always remind me of my big-hearted, straight-talking, intelligent, courageous, fun, fabulous friend....Evelyn.

My fondest memory of Evelyn is her sharing with me around 7:30am one morning to always be on the look out for God, because he is all around us...that our job is to see and notice Him. Thank you Evelyn for your love, joy and compassion.
Much love,

Evelyn, was always a smiling and a welcome presence. I’ve missed her this last year. Her warmth and love for life was lived through the gratitude she spoke of and lived through her actions. May God give you all comfort and respite and warm
Your heart with the love and hope she spread to so many whose lives she touched. May her memory be eternal. It will in my minds eye as I strive to welcome and greet others with the same gratitude and love she did me when I moved to Houston 17 years ago!
