On February 1st 2012, at 92 years, Faye Honeycutt Lyon (Muv) began her heavenly journey in peace and surrounded by love. Her husband Jack and her sister Louise preceded her in death. She was born Willie Faye Honeycutt to Willie and Loy Honeycutt November 11th, 1919 on a farm in Big Sandy, Texas. Faye spent most of her childhood swinging from trees and learned to read before she began Kindergarten. Shortly after high school she and her family moved to Tyler, Texas where she attended business college and met the love of her life, Jack Winston Lyon. The handsome couple raised two sons Jack Jr. and Ricky in Houston, Texas. Shortly after her husband's passing she moved to California to care for her mother and share her life with her sister Louise. Like two peas in a pod they loved, laughed, bickered, mothered, and were always there for one another. Faye was exceptionally enthusiastic about golf and was active in the sport into her eighties. She would never have said she was a "pro" (a title in which she reserved only for the greats) but she was dedicated in her love for the game. Her enjoyment in golf, expertise with knitting and crochet, experience in working crossword puzzles, endless hours in reading, and attentiveness to details kept her mind and body active. Faye remained devoted to her husband, Jack Sr., from the moment she saw him in Tyler till the moment she left this earth. Her love is carried on by her two sons, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and all else who were close to her heart.
She was always proud of her family and will be missed by all.
