

Florence Bratton, 95, entered into eternal rest February 3rd, 2021. She was born in Dodge City, Kansas on December 16, 1925 to John and Gladys Ravenkamp. During her youth, she attended Kansas schools at Montezuma, Fowler, Wilroads Garden, Kingman, and Wichita and graduated from Kingsdown High School. She worked in Civil Service at Army Air Force bases before marrying her husband. She and Neil were married for 59 years. They lived in Houston after he got out of the Air Force. She worked as a mechanic at Greyhound Bus until her death in 2004. Florence actively volunteered in schools, the Red Cross, Cub Scouts, Little League baseball, and Reid Memorial, Airline, and Fair Haven Methodist churches. She worked as a typesetter and layout artist for 36 years at two printing companies, loved God and her family. She leaves behind two sons: Terry (wife Melanie) and Donnie (wife Pat), six grandchildren: Tracy, April, Heather (husband Aaron), Eric (wife Emily), Tyler (wife Jordan), Josh (wife Jennifer), and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation is February 8, 2021 from 1:30pm-2:30pm followed by service and private interment at Brookside Funeral Home and Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your church or charity, or Methodist Children’s Home PO Box 5010, Waco, Texas, 76708 in her name.
