Florence Joyce Starr (89) passed away peacefully July 26th 2022 in San Antonio Texas. She was born in St. Louis MO in 1932 and moved to Houston with her family in 1948. Joyce graduated from Reagan High School and the University of Houston. She worked as a teacher at H.I.S.D. for over 30 years and retired in 1989. For 58 years Joyce was the loving wife of the late Travis Starr Sr. and is survived by her son, Travis Starr Jr., daughter-in-law Natalie Starr. Grandsons Travis lll, Kyle Addison and Jack Thomas Starr. Great grand children Noah Landon, Gracelyn Joyce and Wyatt Woodrow Starr. Mom will be laid to rest next to Dad on Saturday, August 6th at Brookside Memorial Park. The family will gather from 12:00 p.m. until the service begins at 1:00 p.m. in the Family Chapel.
