Frank Perez, 95, was called to eternal rest by our Lord and Savior the early morning of June 9, 2025, at Fall Creek Rehab & Healthcare Center in Humble, Texas where he was a resident for the last eight years.
Frank was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him especially at Fall Creek where he had many special doctors, nurses, caregivers and friends who loved him. His journey on earth was hard as he dealt with several serious illnesses, but he was extremely strong and faced his circumstances with courage and unwavering faith in God.
As a young man, Frank would take two city buses to work hospitality jobs at the Shamrock Hotel and Rice Hotel in Houston, Texas. He also told fond stories of working at the Metropolitan Theater in Houston. When he could no longer work outside the home, he kept busy with different projects. He loved his home on Buchanan Street and his black bicycle which he would ride to the neighborhood store in his younger years. While at Fall Creek, Frank enjoyed going on field trips accompanied by his sister, Virginia. They had many lovely days and made great memories on trips to the Museum of Natural Science and Kemah Boardwalk, just to name a few. Frank also enjoyed the simple things such as drinking a good cup of coffee, sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and watching the planes fly by.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Emilio and Agnes Perez, brother John Perez, sister-in-law Angie Perez, sister Beatrice Nava and brothers-in-law, Osvaldo Ramirez, Raymond Ramos, Leonard Mosqueda and Benjamin Nava.
Frank is survived by his sisters, Virginia Ramirez, Modesta Cruz, Cecelia Ramos, Mary Mosqueda, Dolores Garcia, and brothers-in-law Charles Cruz and Pete Garcia. He also had numerous nieces and nephews who loved him very much.
His passing has left a tremendous void in the heart of his family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by him.
Rest in peace dear son, brother, uncle and friend. We love you.
