

Franklin Bruce Edgar was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana on November 3, 1942. He was 79 years of age when he passed away peacefully at HCA Health Care Facility in Spring, Texas on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
He started at a young age as a Lumberjack in Louisiana. Franklin would haul pulpwood, cut down large trees, and clear out large pieces of land. As he got older, he became a master at HVAC repairing commercial air conditioning units for malls, hospitals, and several buildings throughout Houston, Texas area for over 45 years.
Bruce loved his family, kitty cat and all of life. Especially Holidays such as Thanksgiving, He would have the list of food prepared 2 weeks before. Ann and Michael would begin prepping a feast of food for Thanksgiving Day 2 days ahead of time. His favorite TV show was Fox New Politics he would not change that channel. Franklin loved reading books of war, history, and collecting locomotive trains from all over the state. His favorite was a model railroader and it was the biggest train and he loved playing with Ann and Michael; they would call it “Little People”. Franklin was also very fond of computer games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Solitaire. Bruce was one of a kind, he was loving and funny. He never missed a chance to tell a joke. Franklin always had a smile on his face. People all around loved him so much and he will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his children James Edgar, Rodney Edgar, Teresa O’Brien, Bernie Crosser, Jerry Crosser, and Allison White; parents Franklin Edgar and Joyce Jasper; grandmother Gladys Biggs.
Franklin is survived by his loving wife Docia Ann Edgar; children Michael Kane O’Brien, and Chuck Edgar (Lajuana Edgar); grandchildren James Edgar (Breanna Edgar), Alexis Edgar, Amber Edgar, Rene Edgar, Asher Edgar, and Ellis Edgar; daughter-in-law Lori Edgar.
A visitation for Franklin will be held Monday, October 24, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park.
