Mr. Fred Malcolm Poole III

Fred M. Poole III – In loving memory of our husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend, Fred was born on December 1, 1936 at Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas. He died on August 4, 2010 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Fred was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Mohrman Poole and his father, Dr. Fred M. Poole, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra Poole; his sons, Randall and Lance Poole; daughter-in-laws Mary Poole and Kathleen Poole; his sister, Joan Alexander; his four grandchildren, Lauren Poole, Matthew Poole, Chase Poole and Allyson Poole; his niece, Melissa Spaid; brother-in-law Donald Griffies and many loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 8, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m.; Masonic Services will begin just prior to the service, on Monday, August 9, 2010 with burial to follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randall Poole, Lance Poole, Matthew Poole, Donald Griffies, Charles Mohrmann and Joel Mohrman. Honorary pallbearers include Chase Poole, William Morris, Malcolm Morris, Bill Henricy, Paul Cravey and Jim Sentner.

Fred retired from the Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel. He spent his entire career as an insurance professional. Fred was a member of the Temple Masonic Lodge 4 for 47 years. Fred was a dedicated lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and a 25 year member of Tejas Vaqueros. His passion was his grandchildren and spending time with them at his bay house and ranch. Fred lived his life with passion, faith, love and youthfulness. He will be missed but never forgotten.
