Freda Jo Worthen, 79, passed away on December 20, 2011 in Houston, TX. Freda was born on January 9, 1932 in Tulsa, OK, to Fred and Vinta Mendenhall. She is survived by two sisters, Ruth Bakewell and May Dean Reasor. Freda was a loving wife for 61 years to her surviving husband, Charles, and a devoted mother to her six surviving children, Janis Worthen, Tom Worthen and wife Cathy, Linda Parker, Sandra De Renouard and husband Chris, Mike Worthen and wife Dee Ann, and Jim Worthen. Freda was also a loving inspiration to her thirteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Advantage Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Bethany United Methodist Church , 3511 Linkwood Dr. Houston, Texas 77025. Interment will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
