Freddie Paul Mayfield, 69, of Houston, Texas, was born in Opelousis, LA, on December 21st, 1953 to Harry Mayfield Sr. and Irene Joubert
Mayfield. Freddie grew up in Acres Homes, a thriving black community of Houston, TX.
Freddie was a gifted artist. He displayed his talent in art early in his life. Freddie worked as a manager in night clubs in Houston and also helped his father in the family business.
Freddie was preceded in death by his mother Irene and father Harry Sr.; brothers Whitney, Harry Jr., and Larry. He is survived by his daughter Passion McPherson; sister Gustavia and Edna; grandchildren Julian, Raven, and Marissa; son Artemis; brothers Terry, Barry, Thadeaus and Tim and a vast array of nieces of nephews
A visitation for Freddie will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088, followed by a funeral service from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
