Gary Eugene Asher, born March 17, 1940 passed away July 17, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eileen Doty Asher and Asa Ray Asher. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Asher; children, Tracey and Brian Sweetland, Gary Wayne Asher, Kathryn and Matthew Nippress; grandchildren, Shannon, Robert and Rachel Sweetland and Nathaniel Rabello; sisters, Dixie and Dick Sharp, Connie Watkins, Terry and Sandra Asher, and Sharon Parrish, sister-in-law, Shirley Kadlecek, mother-in-law, Frankie Ross, nieces, nephews and many friends. Gary was a member of Old Moulton Baptist Church in Old Moulton, TX. He was a businessman owning his own barber shop (Reynolds’s Barber Shop) for 45 years on Amherst in University Village. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm Monday, July 19th at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:30 pm Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Brookside Chapel of Chimes with interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
