George Cain our beloved, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather went to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 97 years old. George was born on March 7, 1926 to George W. and Essie Warren Cain in Camden, Texas.
He served proudly in the US Navy, from 1944 till 1950. He led by example to show love and kindness to all.
George is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Willoughby Cain.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving children Marcella Hemby and husband Enoch, Georgia Harvey and husband Warren, Raymond Cain and wife Gloria; step children, Rene Mullinix and husband Jeff, Greg Asfour and wife Sheilaine, and Dottie Cain; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
Honoring George as pallbearers will be Brandon Harvey, Dustin Harvey, Joshua Harvey, David Wilson, John Cain, and Randall Asfour.
A visitation for George will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM, in Brookside's Family Chapel. Burial to follow at Magnolia Hill Cemetery.
