

Sgt. George Willie Oliver, 72, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015 in Houston, Texas. He was born on October 5, 1942 in Houston to Webster and Leoma Parms Oliver. George was raised by his devoted and loving aunt C.W. Stowers. He attended George Washington Carver High School before joining the United States Army and serving his country during the Vietnam era. George later attended Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma.
George loved attending church and bible study. He was a member of North Houston Church and Inside Out Church. Besides his love of church, he was passionate about spending time with his family. George retired from the military and became a business owner of his own landscaping company.
The family would like to express special gratitude to the St. Luke’s Hospital The Woodlands, Pastor Wynn and Pastor Castle for their immense love and care during this time.
George was preceded in death by his parents; his aunt C.W. Stowers; his brother, Leo Oliver; and his son, George Oliver, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife Juanita F. Oliver; his sons, Otis Oliver and wife Jennifer, Aaron Oliver and Diron Oliver and wife Rebecca; his daughter, Kissa Oliver Donald and husband Henry; his grandchildren, Quintin, Sydnee, Chase, Prentice, Dario, Dahalia, Paxton, Samara, Destiny, Isabella, Jordon, Mariah and Kiara Oliver, Trinity and Justice Robles and Jase Donald; great-grandson, Jesse Brouse; his siblings, Franklin D., Raymond, Herman and Joyce Oliver; and a host of other family members and friends.
Honoring to serve as pallbearers will be Aaron, Otis, Diron, Chase and Prentice Oliver and Henry Donald.
