

Georgia Ann Dusk Davis was born on November 9, 1931, and entered eternal life on February 24, 2025, in Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Clarence (Klink) A. Davis and an infant great grandson, Colt D. Gardner. She is survived by her five children, Mark R. Davis (Nancy), Lisa M. Sievers (Larry), Laura D. Nowicki (Jim), Beth E. Zarate ( Mark) and Karen L. Young ( Kevin).
She is survived by her 13 grandchildren, Norma Elisa Davis, Stephanie Sievers Gardner (Rob), Rick Zarate Jr (Lane), Andrew L. Zarate (Amy), Mathew D. Sievers (Kate), Gregory T. Sievers, Mallory J. Rider, William Lee Rider III, Jaime E. Zarate, Austin S. Nowicki (Rachel), Adam D. Nowicki, April Rider Wegman (Stewart), Georgia Zarate Florence (A.J.)
Georgia was also blessed with 21 great grandchildren. Christy Ditzler (Noah), Phillip Cabello, Hailey Cabello, Keaton Gardner, Tyler Gardner, Owen Gardner, Eleanor Sievers, Marshal Sievers, Claire Sievers, Patrick Sievers, Isabelle Sexton, Luella Zarate, Micah Zarate, Asher Zarate, Dylan Zarate, Ezra Zarate, Silas Zarate, Dane E. Florence, Travis Bearden, Spencer Griffin-Rider, Amelia Griffin- Rider.
And one great, great granddaughter, Penny Ditzler.
Georgia was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and grew up there with her parents, George and Lila Dusk. (deceased) and her only sister, Joyce Dusk Henderson, (deceased). Joyce had ten children that Georgia cherished. She married Klink Davis six days after her 19th birthday, and they embarked on a military life of frequent relocation and travel. Georgia was excited to begin their family and went on to have five children in seven years. She always said the greatest joy of her life was being a wife and mother and she was excellent at both. She lived in many different locations including Japan, Germany, Alabama, Virginia, Alaska, Iran, and Texas. After her children were grown, she obtained her real estate license and worked as a broker in San Antonio and at Canyon Lake, Tx for 13 years. In her 50s, she went back to college to finish her degree in Applied Arts and Technology and graduated from college about the same time as several of her children.
She was active in the Catholic Church in many of the locations where the family lived including being the director of the CCE programs in Virginia, Alaska and Tehran. Georgia ran the RCIA program at St Thomas Catholic Church at Canyon Lake, Texas and brought the gift of faith to many people in her community. Georgia was an avid skier and a long-time member of the Los Amigos Ski Club in San Antonio. Georgia also enjoyed singing and performing in the Red Stocking Revue in New Braunfels, Tx.
Her wit and sense of humor were evident to all who knew her. She could tell a good joke and was a published and award-winning author of hundreds of poems. Georgia loved to read and always had two to three books going at a time.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Cecilia’s Catholic church, The Houston Food Bank or PBS (Georgia loved Masterpiece Theater)
Georgia gave and received love freely and will be greatly missed.
