Gerald L. Niles

Gerald L. Niles, age 86, of Huntsville, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. He was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on September 7, 1936 to parents Joseph Niles and Vivian Niles Soukup.

Gerald, known by many as Jerry, met Barbara Niles in Houston, Texas and the two were married on January 28, 1956. Before retiring, he worked as a sheet metal fabricator at Sheet Metal Workers Local 54 Houston for over 50 years. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 54. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a passion for working with his hands.

Gerald is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Niles and mother, Vivian Niles Soukup.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Niles; children, David Niles, Cindy Niles, Robert Niles and wife Debbie; grandchildren, Alan Niles, Marissa Niles, and Logan Niles; step-grandchildren, Christina Gamble, Amber Gamble, and Garrett Wilson; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Donna Niles Mason; brother, Ken Niles and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Gerald will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Monday, February 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A graveside service will occur Monday, February 20, 2023 at 3:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
