Gerardo was born on March 11, 1942, and grew up in Queretaro, Mexico, where he became a prosecutor. In 1968, he married Carolina Castillo, and the couple later immigrated to Houston, Texas. Together, they had six children. Gerardo continued to work hard all his life, even into his retirement.
He is survived by his son Felipe Manuel Perez, his daughters, Elizabeth Carolina Perez and Christine Perez, and his loving grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolina Perez Castillo, daughter Artemisa Vannessa Perez, daughter Xochitl Yvette Perez, and son Gerardo X. Perez.
A Visitation is scheduled on January 21, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, located at 4136 BROADWAY ST, Houston, TX 77087. A Catholic Vigil will take place at 5:30 pm. The Funeral Service will take place on January 22, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the same venue. Following the service, a Committal Service will be held from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
Gerardo Perez's dedication to his family and work will be fondly remembered and cherished by those who knew and loved him.
