Born March 6, 1935 in Houston, Texas to Glenn and Velma Long Taylor. Glenda graduated in 1953 from Lamar High School in Houston. She attended the University of Houston. She was employed 17 years at Exxon, retiring early to pursue her antiques her antiques hobby. In 1970 Glenda moved to Sugar Land to provide small town living for her sons. Years later she settled in Rosenberg and returned to an antiques business and was also in a fashion boutique until her health failed.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Carter Riggs. She is survived by her sons Clay Lowrance, Cole (Mary) and Cory (Jennifer) Riggs. Known as Gigi to her grandchildren; including a special young lady, Janna. Survived by her brother, Thomas Taylor ( Dane), and a nephew of Dallas, a niece and many cousins.
Glenda enjoyed her latter years renewing friendships with high school classmates. She was blessed with several friends who were always there and by the kind support and prayers extended by her church family at New Covenant Church in Rosenberg, including her caregiver, Pat Dirba, who was truly God's provision.
