

Gloria was a native Houstonian and graduated from Jefferson Davis High School where she was involved in various activities including being a majorette. After graduation, Gloria pursued a career in modeling for several years, appearing in various publications including the cover of The Houston Chronicle Rotogravure Magazine. Gloria will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed traveling with Marshall and was an avid dancer, spending countless hours dancing away the evenings with Marshall and friends at Arabia Shriners dances.
Gloria was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Luberbauer. Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Marshall M. Whitesides, who at 101 years young, shared sixty-five wonderful years of marriage with his “Sweety”. Gloria is also survived by her two daughters, Diane Jines (and her husband Mike Jines) and Cindy Whitesides, both of Houston and four grandchildren, Ashley Jines (and her fiancé Humberto Izaguirre) and Barrett Jines, Lori Keefe (and her husband David) and Bradley Miller (and his fiancé Kira Clay), all of Houston.
A celebration of Gloria’s life will be held on June 2, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd. Houston, Texas 77077.
