Goldie didn't have siblings but she sure enjoyed all her 10 cousins growing up. She attended Assumption Catholic School from 1st-8th grade then continued her Catholic schooling and graduated from St. Pius X High School Class of 1967 where she was nominated Homecoming Queen. She continued her education at the University of Houston.
She met and married the love of her life Carter R. McAlexander on December 7, 1968 in the community of Aldine. Goldie's Grandma and Grandpa Cases had their family farm in Aldine along with the “Aunts” so Goldie and Carter decided to stay close and started their family and careers in Aldine, TX a few doors down from them.
Goldie stayed busy as Secretary and Treasurer for the family company Aaron-Carter Electric, Inc. and other interests as well as her favorite job as MOM.
She was a member of St. Leo’s the Great Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, water skiing, sewing, roller skating, watching her grandkids play volleyball and basketball. She also had a passion for tending to her flower garden, decorating her home for the holidays, crafting, antiquing, resale shopping and most of all enjoying family and loving on her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by father John Edward McFadden; mother Doris Ann McFadden.
She is survived by her husband, Carter R. McAlexander; daughter, Catera R. Mueller and husband Charles Mueller; son, Aaron L. McAlexander and wife Dana McAlexander; grandsons Michael and Ronan Gomberg and many puppies; granddaughters Kennedy Kelley and Rylee McAlexander.
A special thanks to Annisa at Visiting Angels for her special care of mom., Tony for her gentle nature and care, Cousin Leola for her help with mom, love and friendship., Barbara for her lifelong friendship. Dr. Lewis for believing in our mom and listening to her after all her years of agony.
