

After attending public school in Birmingham, Gordon entered Vanderbilt University. He graduated in 1956 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He married Derry Meadows in 1954 and they had two children, Allison and Warren. They moved to Houston where Gordon worked for Monsanto for a few years then moved to Jefferson Chemical which became Texaco Chemical Co. He worked there for 30 years before retiring.
In 1981 Gordon married Doris Tucker and gained three stepchildren, Kevin, Brian and Carol.
Gordon enjoyed teaching Sunday School for 28 years. He was an Elder at Braeburn Presbyterian Church. He also studied to become a Lay Minister while a member there.
Gordon was also an accomplished artist. His favorite medium was watercolor, however, he also enjoyed oils. He also spent time working with sculpting metal, pottery, jewelry making and woodworking.
He was predeceased by his mother, Mae Hatfield Neville, and his father, Dr. Charles W. Neville and his brother, Dr. C.W. Neville, Jr.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Doris; his daughter Allison Fiorillo; his son, Warren and his wife, Mary. He is also survived by three stepchildren Kevin Tucker and his wife, Lauren; Brian Tucker and his wife, Cheryl; and Carol Kutzer and her husband, Jack. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren: Kallise Fiorillo Clayton, Kristin Fiorillo, Curtis Fiorillo, Matt Neville, John Neville, Matthew Tucker, Christine Tucker Ferguson, Kole Girard, Rachel Tucker, Andrew Tucker, Sarah Tucker, Carolyn Tucker, Benjamin Tucker, Abigail Kutzer and Tucker Kutzer. Gordon is also survived by two great grandchildren, Grace and Faith Tucker.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 19 at 2:00 p.m. at ChristChurch Presbyterian at 5000 Bellaire Boulevard, Bellaire, TX 77401.
