

Alice Graeme Meyers Marston died in Houston, on Wednesday, the 5th of February 2025. She was born to Alice Baker Jones Meyers and John Harris Meyers on the 30th of April 1940 in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Houston. She graduated from Pine Manor Junior College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and Finch College in New York City. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edgar J. Marston III; her sister, Virginia Meyers Chandler, and her husband Jack; and her two sons and four grandchildren. Christopher Graham Marston is the father of Matthew Harris Marston and Nicole Sierra Marston of Los Angeles, California. Jonathan Andrew Marston and his wife Michele are the parents of Abigal Graeme Marston and Cooper Ward Marston of Daniel Island, South Carolina.
At the time of her death, Graeme was a member of The Junior League of Houston, The Assembly, The Garden Club of Houston, The Houston Country Club and Trinity Episcopal Church, Houston.
She loved her Bible Study class at Christ Church Cathedral, attending Communion services, participating in the St. Theresa’s Book Club, gardening in Houston and Frydek, studying French at The Alliance Francaise, her weekly workouts and reading. She was a Benedictine Oblate associated with Pecos Benedictine Monastery in Pecos, New Mexico. She and Edgar loved to travel, spend weekends at their Frydek farm and visit their grandchildren.
Graeme’s family would like to acknowledge the contributions of Audrey Baltrip and Gloria Lemus, Graeme’s loving and compassionate caregivers over the last several months.
Prior to the service, the family will have gathered for a private inurnment at the columbarium of Trinity Episcopal Church.
A memorial service is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 14th of February, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1015 Holman Street in Houston. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception that will be held at the church.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in Graeme’s name may be directed to Trinity Church Endowment, Inc., the fund that assists in the preservation of Trinity’s beautiful physical plant, 1015 Holman St. Houston, TX 77005, the Friends of St. Benedict, 5150 Macomb Street, North NW, Washington, DC 20016-2612, or the Pecos Benedictine Monastery, 16 Guadalupe Lane, Pecos, New Mexico 87752.
