Guadalupe “Lupe” Carreon Escobedo, age 95, passed away on December 15, 2015, in Austin, Texas. Lupe was born in El Paso, Texas on December 11, 1920. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Austin, Texas.
Lupe is preceded in death by her husband, Dario, her sons Dario Jr. and Danny. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Leonard Gonzales of Houston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law David and Kathy Escobedo of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Laura, Matt, Jessica and Anna; and great grandchildren, Aaron, Olivia and Andrew.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2131 Lauder Road, Houston, Texas at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016. Graveside services to follow at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas.
The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Children’s Blood and Cancer Center at Dell Children’s Hospital, 1301 Barbara Jordan Blvd., Suite 401, Austin, TX 78723.
