Guia Isabelo Sanchez

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend Guia Isabelo Sanchez passed away peacefully on February 13, 2017 in Houston, Texas. She was 74 years old.

Guia was born in Leyte, Philippines. She married Artemio on September 4, 1966. They emigrated to the United States in the early 70s where they lived in Chicago, Illinois for several years. They moved to Houston, Texas in the late 70s where they raised their four daughters. She was very active in the Filipino community and in Notre Dame Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her mother Segundina Hidalgo and father Eugenio Isabelo, as well as her brother Eugenio Isabelo Jr. She is survived by her husband Artemio Sanchez and daughters Geraldine Sanchez, Guinevere Pettersson, Adele Sanchez, and Ava Sanchez, and grandchildren Kaja Pettersson, Erik Pettersson, Art Wojcinski, and Richard Wojcinski.

Public Viewing and Wake Service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00pm with Rosary at 7:00pm. On Saturday, February 18, 2017 the Funeral Mass will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church at 10:00am. Graveside burial will be at 3:30pm at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
