

He was born in Dallas, Texas, on July 26, 1941. Harold graduated from Irving High School in 1959 and attended Arlington State University.
He was married to Eva Candy Baxley for 45 years.
Harold had a dedicated career as an emissions technician and waste treatment controlman for Armco Steel and Rohm & Haas.
He was an active member of the Woodforest Civic Association and the North Channel EMS Board. He had a passion for coaching youth sports, working on old cars, watching live baseball and football games, and spending time with his family.
Harold is survived by his wife, Eva Candy Baxley; his children, Christopher S. DeLuna, Harold Maxton Baxley Jr., Mendie Jo Bishop (husband Glenn Bishop), and Dawn Candy (husband Randy Lovelace).
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Christopher DeLuna, Christian DeLuna, Christina DeLuna, Dede Sutton, and Cody Bradshaw.
His great-grandchildren: Allison Sleeper, Deja Davis, Destiny Davis, Payten Bradshaw, Joseph Bradshaw, Brayden Bradshaw (all of Houston, Texas), Cayden Bradshaw (of Colorado), Tyler Cortez (wife Julie), Timothy Cortez (wife Amber), Cory Cortez (of San Marcos, Texas), Chelsey Reed, and John Baxley (of Scranton, Pennsylvania).
His great-great-granddaughter: Jayleigh Sleeper (of Houston, Texas).
Funeral services will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038, on March 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
