Harry B. Pettit Jr.

Harry B. Pettit, 83, was born on October 11, 1928 in Houston, TX. He passed away on May 21, 2012 in Houston, TX. He is survived by his son, Jerry and wife Wendy and son, Donald and wife Kim; one daughter, Marie; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, D. Jean Pettit and son, David Pettit. He enjoyed boating, dancing, playing bridge and was an elder at Oaks Presbyterian Church. He served in the U.S. Navy, attended Rice University, graduated from the University of Houston and was an electrical engineer for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company until retiring in 1991. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at Oaks Presbyterian Church, 1576 Chantilly Lane, Houston, Texas 77018 with Rev. Noelie B Day officiating. Mr. Pettit will be laid to rest with full military honors on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westhimer Road, Houston, Texas 77077. The family requests that memorial donations be made in Harry Pettit's memory to Oaks Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.
