Harry went to Stephen F. Austin Senior
High School for two years before he went to Kinkaid.  He was on the Austin debate
team, which is where I met him. We went
on out of town bus trips at least three
times a year.  If I had to sum up Harry
in once sentence it would read "He was a GREAT guy."  He had a sense of humour right out of this world.  Harry
loved to laugh.  He was also highly
intelligent and very mature for his
years, which was another reason I enjoyed his company.  In our own way
we were both old souls.  He loved
Hawaiian shirts decades before it was
fashionable to wear Hawaiian shirts.
Every time my husband dons one of his
I think of Harry.  My maiden name was
Patricia Winniford.

Rebecca & Family, As everyone has acknowledged, Harry was a very unique and genuine Texas gentleman. He was a friendly and kind man that loved to be with people.  And, we All Loved him in return.  Remember all these wonderfully warm and fun readings abt. Harry...And,Smile. Harry will be missed by All.  I believe.. He is planning the next MeetUp in Heaven as we write. :) Take care and let God's healing and comforting arms surround you and your family as you heal and walk thru this sad time. Harry was larger than life, a true Texas Gentleman!  He will be missed by anyone who knew him.  He was always such a gracious host at any event I attended.  He chose the best places to go too!  Introduced us to so many neat places, as well as each other.

My Sweet Harry.  You always had such a great smile and without a doubt could light up a room. You made anyone and everyone feel welcome. You never had a negative thing to say. If only this world could have more people like you it wouldn't be such an ugly place. I know God has a special place for you. You will receive many jewels upon your crown when He gives it to you. I will miss you and the fun times I had whenever I had the chance to be with you . You made me laugh and forget there was anything to worry about whenever I was around you . Have fun as you always did until I see you again.

Harry is enjoying every minute of reading these remembrances.  I can see the smile on his face.  He made an impression on everyone he met.  I will be eternally grateful to have known him.

I became acquainted with Harry through Meetup in 2011.  We quickly became friends outside of Meetup since we were both CPAs and I had just started my own CPA practice.  Harry became my mentor since he had his own practice for 42 years.  I don't know what he saw in me but when he decided to close his practice, he generously referred his clients to me for which I am eternally grateful.  Harry was a true Texas gentleman that lived his life large, always a gracious host.  I am deeply saddened by his passing and will truly miss him.  Rebecca and family I offer my most heartfelt condolences to you all.

I will miss Harry so much. He had such a positive attitude and  enjoyed life so much. He Always had a smile on his face. He was so energetic and even if he was not 100 percent feeling good, he was still present. he was such a dear man. my condolences to his daughter and the rest of his family.

Harry immediately made me feel welcome at the meetup events I attended that he was hosting. He was a true gentleman with a happy demeanor that I truly appreciated.

I thank Harry for introducing us.  Harry walked me over and introduced me to each person in my first HSF meet-up.  He sat me next to Brian and even took our first picture together; we've been inseparable.  
 
Harry will always hold a special place in our hearts.

I had the distinct pleasure of having dinner with Harry on August 30th.   12 of us sat and laughed and cajoled the night away.   Harry has a presence which is much larger than life; and I am indeed blessed for knowing him and having the opportunity to be captured by his unlimited energy for life and enjoying people.... Harry Thrower welcome me to HSF, by taking pictures of me with his camera. He was a great host. He always had the most interesting smart conersation, he chose the best upscale places, I felt honored when he invited me to host events, we got along really well because we are both Leo! I cant believe this happened! He was like the patriarc and I love how he wore, his cowboy outfits and his luxury suits. He welcomed everybody and he was adventurer.

I met Harry in the HSF group, always so charming and happy, it showed that he enjoyed life. I will miss seeing him. My condolences for your loss.

Harry was a guy we enjoyed so much when I was working in cardiac rehab.  He always had a twinkle in his eyes. I am sorry for his loss to you all.
