He served in the South Vietnamese Marine Division during the Vietnam War and immigrated to the United States in 1975. He worked most of his life as one skilled CNC programmer and took an early retirement in his mid 50’s. He then spent most of his time traveling and enjoying each of his five grandchildren as they arrived. He was adventurous, fun-loving and the most wonderful and adoring grandfather. He loved to fish, bike, travel, cook, watch movies, and mostly, he loved to spoil his grandchildren.
Hau was preceded in death by his parents, Nguyen Phu and Le Thi Kiet. He is survived by his wife, Susan Suong Tran Nguyen; his children Anh Ngo, Hoabinh Le (son-in-law), Linda Nguyen Hayslett, Andrew Hayslett (son-in-law), Alyssa Nguyen Ducante, and Willie Ducante (son-in-law); and his most-beloved grandchildren Ava Le, Matthew Le, Jake Le, Luke Hayslett, and Ainsley Hayslett.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Garden Oaks Funeral Home & Crematory located at 13430 Bellaire Boulevard in Houston, Texas. Service will commence at 10:00 am. His ashes will be shared among his three daughters, for which each will spread his ashes at his favorite places: the beach, fishing spots, and in different areas he loved to travel to. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
