She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leon Matula and daughter, Carol Cory.
Helen is survived by her children, Gary Matula and Donna Holloway and husband Rickey; grandchildren, Cody Davison, Stacy Matula, Jaron Davison, Matt Matula, Katie Holloway and Bret Holloway; great-grandchildren, Caydence Davison and Avery Matula; sisters, Betty Krenek and Lillian Holton; and brother, Herman Svoboda.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service and Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 8825 Kempwood Drive, Houston, Texas 77080, on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
