Helen was born on January 23, 1934 in Hope, Arkansas to Thomas J. and Tennie Barr. She married Robert B. Reid, Jr. on November 20, 1953 in Houston, Texas. They shared 67 years together filled with church activities, camping, reading, sewing and family time.
She is survived by her beloved husband Robert and her love and encouragement will always be cherished by her children Suzanne Reid Jeffcoat (Delbert), Patricia Reid Partridge (Wiley), Bob Reid (Kim) and Betty Ann Reid Ashby (Kevin). She is also survived by her grandchildren Nickolas, Amanda, Michael (Jennifer), Jenny (William), Daniel, Michael, Mark, Kyle (Alex) and Katy as well as great grandchildren Audrey, Jared, Caleb and Gavin. Also surviving her are her dear siblings Bertha “Sister” Miller and Jeff Barr.
There will be a graveside service on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Brookside Cemetery in Houston.
