Henry Cornelius Crafton

Henry Cornelius Crafton, son of the late Luis Gonzague and Josephine Crafton, was born September 18, 1921 in Castries, St. Lucia, West Indies. He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Catherine Henry, who preceded him in death on May 5th. Henry was the sixth of nine siblings who began his career as a Police Officer in St. Lucia, West Indies, but shortly afterwards he decied to pursue a career in the oil field industry. He relocated to Curacao, and was employed as a refinery operator with Shell Oil Company, where he worked the majority of his adult life and later retired from the company. He then traveled to St. Croix, US Virgin Island where he was employed by Hess Oil Refinery and worked as a plant operator and supervisor. Having been employed there for many years, he again retired. He spent his retirement years traveling, visiting other Caribbean islands, specifically his native island of St. Lucia. He spent his last few years in Houston, Texas with his children, but his health was failing and he suffered cardiac complications and prostate cancer. He passed away peacefully at home, in the presence of family members on February 20, 2013, at the age of 91. He leaves to mourn Four Daughters; Bernadette Sonny, Henrietta Edwards, Marie James, and Jeanine Bernard. Marcella Crafton his oldest daughter preceded him in death. Two Sons; Carlton Crafton and Chris Crafton Grandchildren; Charlotte plaskett, Ebonie Barrow, Natasha Sonny- Williams, Deanna Bernard, Stephen Barrow, Tisha Sonny ( deceased), Lester Sonny and Napoli Edwards. Step Grandchildren; Brandee Mills, Gabriel Humphrey, Carley Denman, Meagan Denman. Great Grandchildren; K’Quanisha Williams, Akquan Williams, Allanah Williams, Allan Williams, T’Nyah Kerr, Adonai Kerr, Tejahnye Sonny, Teliya Sonny, Aaliyah Barrow, Mosiahs Barrow, and Dominic Bernard. One Brother; Philip Crafton, currently residing in St. Luxia, West Indies.
