Hewitt Johnson, Sr. born August 8, 1937 in Wemple, Louisiana passed into eternal life on June 7, 2015 in Humble, Texas. Hewitt moved to Houston, Texas in 1955. He was an active member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by parents, Mary Wilson Johnson & Moses Johnson, 5 sister and 1 brother. Left to cherish his memory are children: Linda Stewart(Joe), Irene Fisher(Clarence-deceased), Raymond(Gloria), Verna Williams(Louis-deceased), Hewitt(Laura-deceased) Carolyn Thomas(Ezra), Patricia Phillips(Troy); brother, James Johnson; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 1 God child. Services are being conducted by Brookside Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9am-11am on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church 19431 Jones Rd., Humble, Texas with the funeral service at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Memorial Park.
