Homer Joe Finch

Homer was born on March 23, 1929, in Dallas, TX, to Myrtle Finch (Helms) & Henry Tyler Finch.

Homer married his wife of 65 years; Barbara Rosalie Bergoon, on August 26, 1950, in Dallas, TX.

Homer graduated from Texas A&M in 1951. Upon graduation, he faithfully served our country in the U.S. Army for 26 years. He received numerous military awards & medals, including the Vietnam Service Medal & the Bronze Star Medal. He was a very active member of the Cypress Bible Church, as well as Gideons International.

Homer is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, beloved children, Susan Johnson & husband Steve, Yvonne Wilson & husband Mike, Danny Finch & wife Becky and Tracy Butler & husband Bubba. He leaves behind his adoring grandchildren Adlena Biffinger, Heather Johnson-Schubert, Kylie Howard, Chad Finch, Kimberly Sherman, Ashley Butler & Patrick Butler, his great-grandchildren, Stephen Johnson, Jacob Sherman, Holden Schubert & Harper Schubert. He is preceded in death by his loving grandson, Shane Johnson.
