Mr. Howard William Donnette was born on November 27, 1937, in Weeks Island, Louisiana, to the late Earl Donnette Sr. and Emma Donnette. He peacefully entered his eternal rest on November 5, 2025, as God called him home.
Howard accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and remained steadfast in his faith throughout his life.
He graduated from Wheatley High School in 1955, and in 1956, he chose to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force.
During his distinguished military career, Howard specialized in troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing aircraft, ensuring their safety and readiness for mission operations. His leadership earned him the rank of Master Sergeant, a position he honorably held for nine years. He supervised a team of 18 technicians and traveled to Japan, Korea, and many other countries across the world. His service was recognized through numerous honors, including Outstanding Conduct and Achievement Awards.
In 1958, Howard was joined in Holy Matrimony with Mrs. Dora Donnette. He was blessed with four sons: Rory, Gregory, Wesley, and Tarek. Together, Howard and Dora shared a life filled with love, travel, laughter, and faith.
After retiring from the Air Force, Howard continued to work diligently, earning his CDL license and driving for Roadway Express for eighteen years, where he became well known by his CB handle, “Meechie Man.”
In 1975, Howard pursued his entrepreneurial spirit by co-founding BRB TV Repair with his good friend Robert Brooks. Known fondly throughout the community as “TV Man,” Howard served others with kindness, skill, and generosity. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors alike.
Howard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dora Donnette, and two sons, Gregory and Wesley Donnette.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted sons, Rory and Tarek, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchild, extended family members, and many dear friends.
Howard will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud veteran, and faithful servant of God. His legacy of integrity, humility, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
