Howard E. Ely Sr. born July 27, 1930 passed away March 12, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita B. Ely; son, Larry W. Ely; parents, Polly Marie Moore Ely O’Dell and Jefferson Isaac (Ike) Ely; brothers, Riley Jefferson Ely and Alton Paul Ely. He will be greatly missed by his children, Howard E. Ely Jr. and wife Ellen and Debra D. Peters and husband Wayne; grandchildren, Rusty E. Ely and wife Mashell, James W. Mayton and wife Andrea, Samantha F. Ely, Raymond I. Ely and Dorothy Weaver; great grandchildren, Serenity A. Mayton, Tabitha L. Mayton “Tabby”, Deulynn J. Mayton “D.J.”, Nathanial M. Weaver and several other family and friends. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, March 14th at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 pm Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Brookside Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
