Hubert Elton Crowson

Hubert Elton Crowson, age 87, of Spring, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Hubert was born September 2, 1934 to Richard Elton Crowson of Bedias, TX and Josephine Bertha Lenzberg of Houston, TX, September 2, 1934. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, sister and loving wife Ethel Mae.

Hubert is survived by his son Paul Crowson, wife Annette, his daughter Theresa, husband Norman “Mouchie” Bates. Grandchildren; Christopher Bates and wife Tara, Brandon Crowson and wife Amy, Laura Crowson, Joshua Bates and wife Erica, Zachary Crowson and wife Michelle, Summer Crowson and Kevin Cannon. Great Grandchildren; Sydney Bates, Kennedy Bates, Liberty Crowson, Adelynn Crowson, Keller Crowson, Paxton Bates, Aria Bates, Kallen Cannon, Harlow Crowson, Alaina Bates. And many nieces, and nephews.

Brother Crowson served the Lord at several congregations throughout his life as a Christian. North Houston Church of Christ, Aldine Church of Christ, and Westfield Church of Christ.

He served the country as a U.S. Marine during the Korean War from 1951 to 1954. August 24, 1954, he married his “darlin” Ethel and they began their life together having two children Paul and Theresa. He worked over 30 years with the U.S. Post Office as a Special Delivery Messenger. He also spent many years coaching girls’ softball in Aldine, TX.

A visitation for Hubert will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A graveside service will occur Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
