My Huynh, aged 63, died peacefully on February 27, 2016 at home surrounded by loved ones, after a long fought battle with cancer. My was born December 26, 1952, in My Tho, Vietnam, the daughter of Kham Huynh and Tang Luu.
Family and friends were My’s passion and delight. An avid cook, she loved to host dinner parties. Known for her ease in frequent conversation with even total strangers, some may be surprised to learn of the extreme shyness of her youth. Yet even as a child, she possessed a contagious smile.
Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing love and faith. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and will never be forgotten.
My is survived by her sister, Mui; brothers, Phuc, Xuong, Giang and Hung: her husband, Son Van Cao; daughters, Yen and Truc; thirteen nieces and twelve nephews; and a number of other relatives and close friends.
We will think of you and miss you. And when we say think of you, we mean every day, and when we say we"ll miss you, we mean always. We love you My, Rest in peace.
